Music on the Cortile (previously known as Music from the Porch and Music in the Café) presents live performances by musicians in the picturesque Musser Cortile at Landmark Center. Taking place over four Wednesday lunch hours, these concerts offer an opportunity to hear talented local musicians. Best of all, they’re free and open to everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch to enjoy during the concert.

August 7: Honeybutter

Honeybutter, hailing from Minneapolis, is a trio consisting of Zak Khan, Clara Wicklund, and Andreas Fenner. Their music blends warmth with an eerie edge, reminiscent of dreams woven on Minnesota’s coldest nights. Drawing from influences like Little Dragon and Ryuichi Sakamoto, they defy genre boundaries with a sound that’s both familiar and hauntingly strange. Having graced stages like the Dakota and First Avenue, they were named Best New Band by First Avenue in 2021. Honeybutter recently shared the spotlight with Rodrigo y Gabriela on their 2023 tour. Joined by drummer Richard Haneman and bassist Trevor Peterson for live performances, Honeybutter’s allure lies in their captivating sonic experimentation.
